Background and experience:
Sam has been a Realtor® on the Monterey Peninsula for 12 years and has been one of
the owners of International Estates, Inc. since 1993. During his early years in Real
Estate, he developed the philosophy he now emphasizes to the agents in his office:
"know what is on the market, and know what the market is doing." Using this philosophy,
combined with the highest level of honesty, integrity and patience, has allowed him to
establish such a high degree of satisfaction with both Buyers and Sellers that over 65%
of his business is with repeat clients.
Sam, his wife Nan, and their three sons fell in love with the Monterey Peninsula in
1970 while Sam was a student at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey. Following
a 21-year Navy career (1959 to 1980) and two years with the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NDAA) in Washington, D.C., he returned to the Monterey
Peninsula area in 1982. He began his career in Real Estate in 1988. Sam holds a B.S.
degree in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a M.S. in Oceanography from the
Naval Post Graduate School.
